Hockey Canada wants your input on
Novice Half Ice Game Play Guidelines

Dear Hockey Parent,

Novice hockey regulations will undergo major changes in 2019-20 season with the implementation of the Novice Half Ice Game Play Guidelines. To date, a number of regions across Canada have already implemented the shift from full ice game play to half ice game play.

Hockey Canada, Hockey Alberta, and the University of Quebec Trois Rivières have partnered in a research initiative to acquire your feedback and perceptions related to this new initiative. You are invited to participate in a brief survey that will provide us with a perspective on your beliefs and attitudes toward Hockey Canada’s shift in program delivery at the Novice age level.

Your participation in this survey will help to facilitate program implementation and assist us in considering opportunities to improve the implementation plan.

Your involvement in the project simply requires completing an online survey that will take approximately 8 to 10 minutes. All the data collected will remain confidential. You will find below the link for the survey.

It is important to note that your opinion matters to this initiative, regardless of whether you agree or disagree with the implementation of the Novice Half Ice Game Play program.

Please note: The deadline for your response to this survey is March 22

Our project group thanks you for your willingness to complete the survey.

Yours in hockey,

Hockey Canada and Hockey Alberta
